Social Action Support for Schools

Social Action Projects

We work with schools to co-create projects that address social issues that are close to the school’s pupils and local community. Here is one example from Seven Kings, an all-through school in East London. We supported them in 2023 and 2024. These two videos show how social action has become embedded in the school’s culture.

Young people live in a complex world and are often drawn into thinking about what actions they can take to make it a better place. Our professional support, connections and funding can help schools and their students make sense of the social actions they can take to make a difference.

Schools are often looking for ways of engaging with their local communities and for sustainable ways in which they can give something back. Our grant can help those schools to develop these ideas and to bring them to fruition.

All secondary schools help students explore the world of work and the careers they may be considering and this fund is designed to support that activity. Charities, social enterprises and similar social sector organisations are part of the world of work and present career opportunities for students.

Some schools encourage their students to learn about enterprise and entrepreneurship. Our grant can help those schools that want to use social enterprise as a model for developing an understanding of entrepreneurship.
