The Eastside Primetimers Foundation
We are a focused, grant-giving organisation.
Our ambition is to help young people make sense of the world of charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations through social action projects and specialist learning.
The UK social sector has an impact on our lives that is more significant than many realise. We believe we can create a better society in the UK if we can change that and the best place to start is with young people who are trying to make sense of the world in which they live and the issues that challenge them daily.
We are a not-for-profit organisation with our own independent Board of Trustees.
We have been around since 2004 and over that period we helped to establish Eastside People which is recognised as one of the top social enterprises in the country, featuring within the Natwest SE 100 of the UK’s 100 most impressive social enterprises. The dividends from our shareholding in Eastside People provides a helpful supplement to donations, which are our primary source of income.
We take pride in the way we have adapted our work to meet the changing world in which chariities and social enterprises operate. Initially we focused on mid and late-career transition into the charity sector. We then became involved in consultancy and directly supporting grant funders, including a number of Government funded programmes. Today, we are focusd on our own grant giving fund and on young people.
