Supporting refugees to restart their careers
In the UK there are many refugees with qualifications, experience, and a deep desire to contribute. Yet far too many are forced into underemployment. They find it difficult to resume the careers they once led - in medicine, engineering, education, and beyond. This isn’t just disempowering for them as individuals.… it’s a missed economic opportunity.
We are trialling a new way of helping refugees who have a professional or managerial background to find a way of restarting their careers in the UK. Our ambition is to add a new dimension to the great work of a number of other charities who are tackling similar issues.
